Ezra Meyer was born in Petach-Tikva, Israel in 1985 and showed musical talent from a very early age.
Ezra studied with the greatest Cantorial teachers. He completed 5 years in the Tel Aviv Cantorial Institute under the direction of world renowned Cantor, Naftali Hershtik, and later studied with Maestro Dr. Mordechai Sobol. During his years of studies, he developed his cantorial liturgy, his musicality and his lyric tenor voice.
Since 2004, he has performed throughout Israel and the world, in venues such as the Jerusalem Great Synagogue, St. John's Wood Synagogue in London, Moscow's Great Synagogue, San Diego (USA) and more.
Starting in 2008 until 2018, Cantor Meyer has been officiating as cantor in the Great Synagogue of Munich (IKG) over the High Holidays and on alternating Shabbatot during the year. In addition, he performed in various concerts and events.
Cantor Meyer has performed with several cantorial ensembles including: the Great Synagogue Cantorial Ensemble of Jerusalem under the baton of conductor Eli Jaffe, the Ne'ima singers from London, the Moscow's Great Synagogue and more.
Cantor Meyer is currently officiating as cantor over the High Holidays and Shabbatot during the year in Moscow's Great Synagogue.
