Sacha started at the age of 13 as a boy soprano in the Amsterdam Shul Choir. At 16 he became a cantor in Amsterdam. Starting in the main Synagogue, he also serviced the other shuls in alternating weeks. When he was 19 he started to officiate services in the main Synagogue in Munich for the duration of 2,5 years at an alternating basis. At the same time he started to appear in operatic concerts working with multiple orchestras leading to his debut at MFP (Music Festival Perugia, Italy).
Sacha has developed himself as versatile tenor feeling at home in opera and the cantorial side of music, on the other. He derived his Nussach education from several teachers in Amsterdam mastering the Western European Nussach tradition as recorded by cantor Hans Bloemendal. Not being unfamiliar with the Nussach of Eastern Europe.
